Vijayalakshmi hails from Malur near Kolar district of Karnataka. Her father is Sri. Radha Krishna and mother is Smt. Udaya Lakshmi. She has done her Masters degree in Mathematics from Govt.Science College, Nrupatunga University.
She has been an avid drama & theater enthusiast since her school days. She acted in a few plays during her college days. She got her first big break as the Lead actress in the popular tele-serial LAKSHANA, being aired on Colors Kannada channel.
She loves films and music and binges on them whenever she gets time. She is also a Numismatist and has a huge collection of rare coins from the previous eras. She has a heart for the environment and loves to do her bit for the preservation of Mother Earth. She also loves to get involved in activities like animal welfare and children development.

The serial completed more than 600 episodes to set a new milestone. The versatile actor has received recognition for her acting being nominated for Anubandha awards, grabbing many eyeballs.
Currently, her serial MYNA being aired on UDAYA TV has been receiving huge audience appreciation and garnering high TRPs every week.
